Dead Rising 3 marks the return of one of the most popular zombie video game franchises. Set 10 years after the events of Fortune City in Dead Rising 2, players are introduced to Nick Ramos, a young mechanic with a strange tattoo and a mysterious past, who must find a way to escape a city full of zombies before an impending military strike wipes the city of Los Perdidos, California, and everyone in it, off the map. Nick can’t do it alone – he must join up with other survivors to stay alive. They must fight their way out before it’s too late.
With an immersive open-world experience, intense action, and unmatched level of weapon and character customization, a new generation of zombie-slaying fun has arrived with Dead Rising 3.

Nick is a mechanic who works for Wrench O’ Rama in the fictional city of Los Perdidos. He was an orphan and has no recollection of his early childhood years. He has a mysterious, unknown past. One of the few things he remembers was that he always had a tattoo of the number 12 on the right side of his neck.
Annie is an “illegal”, a person that is infected that hasn’t been implanted with a microchip to be located and given Zombrex to prevent turning. She travels with her ex-boyfriend Red, who leads a group of illegals throughout the city. She thinks of the illegals as her family and strongly believes in fighting for them so that they can continue to live off the grid.
Isabela has been trapped inside a lab for years and she is finally freed when a zombie outbreak spreads to Los Perdidos. She manages to escape and is searching for a missing element to the cure, a blood sample from “patient zero”.
Ronald “Red” Jackson is a survivor in Los Perdidos and Annie’s ex-boyfriend. Red leads and protects a band of infected survivors through the city. Like other Illegals, he too is infected but refuses to get the microchip required by the government.
Diego has been Nick’s best friend since childhood and the two have been to many different foster homes together throughout their childhood. He is an orphan with a number “49” tattoo on the back of his neck.
General John Hemlock is the official overseer of Los Perdidos during the zombie outbreak. His main ambition is to use the outbreak as an excuse to gain greater control and power over the American people through strict martial law and censorship.
Sergeant Hilde Schmittendorf works for General Hemlock as his chief of security and was sent to clean up Los Perdidos and oversee the “safety” of survivors found within the city limits.
Marian Mallon is the director of the Phenotrans Facility. She has a zombie bite-mark on her left cheek, which has seemingly never healed. She claims that her infection is irrelevant, in that she doesn’t need Zombrex anymore as she was cured by an actual antidote for the parasite.
While fighting off zombies in Los Perdidos, Nick will come across Psychopaths. He will have to be prepared when going face-to-face with them. Some psychopaths are driven mad or just evil and think that the outbreak is their chance to do whatever they want.
Build and customize a huge variety of unique combo vehicles
Dead Rising 3 places a huge emphasis on vehicles, not only as transportation but as an extension of combat and survival. Build and customize a huge variety of unique combo vehicles to take out your enemies while on the move. But watch out – zombies cling to vehicles, affecting the steering physics, and attack you while driving!
Just one example of the awesome combo vehicles you can build in Dead Rising 3, the Shock Dozer is a hybrid between an ambulance and a steamroller. Plow through the undead horde while simultaneously shocking them back to the grave!
In Dead Rising 3, players can choose from 26 different high fidelity vehicles to navigate the world, including Nick’s muscle car. Dead driving has never been this much fun – or effective.
